Introduction
Epicatechin is a flavanol compound. Cocoa products are rich in epicatechin. Epicatechin can strengthen the skeletal muscle structure of patients with heart failure and minimize the risk of cardiometabolic. It can be used to treat sarcopenia. Epicatechin can reduce myostatin and β-galactosidase, and increase the level of muscle growth markers. Antioxidant, found in chocolate.
