Introduction
Biochemical research.
An alkaline antibiotic prepared from the culture medium of Streptomyces erytheus to inhibit bacterial protein synthesis.
In the transpeptidation step, the prolonged period is inhibited, and the bacterial protein synthesis is inhibited by binding to the ribosome to induce erythromycin resistance to the bacteria. Antibacterial spectrum: Gram-negative and positive bacteria. It is a macrolide antibiotic.
This product is composed largely of erythromycin A with small amounts of erythromycins B and C.
