PSA (ethylenediamine-N-propyl) filler is similar to NH2, with weak anion exchange and normal phase retention. The two
amino groups of PSA (pKa of 10.1 and 10.9 respectively) provide greater ion exchange capacity and can extract polar
compounds through hydrogen bonds. In addition, PSA forms complexes with metal ions, which can retain some metal ions.
